Anna discovered the CoZee to be a safe, comfortable sleeping space for her infant. The CoZee is available in oak and charcoal and is a chic addition to the bedroom. It looks more like an elegant piece of furniture than some of the other cribs we've tested, and can appear quite utilitarian. It's also fairly light at 11kg and comes with a carry bag so you can take it away on holidays or when you move your home. The only extras you need to buy are a fitted waterproof sheet and a co-sleeping safety strap. The instructions and pictures are simple to follow once you open the box.
The Maxi-Cosi Lora
The Iora is an infant bassinet designed to make parents feel more connected to their infant while they sleep. It can be adjusted upwards and downwards and moved to three different slide positions to be placed beside the bed of the parent or in the corner so the baby is always in reach. The mesh siding allows air to circulate through, allowing you to see your baby quickly. You can also put away any extra pajamas or items in the large storage basket beneath.
The Iora is a bedside crib that is smaller and can fold flat. It also comes with a travel case which allows it to be taken anywhere. It was easy to move around from room to space, and our mum testers believed it was the perfect size for a bedside crib. The large storage basket is perfect to store bedding and nappies.
This is a great option for parents who want to sleep in a co-sleeping arrangement but do not want to share their own beds or whose partners may have mobility issues, like arthritis or back issues. Our mom testers love the ease with which they can access their baby in the Iora, and it also has an optional reflux incline to aid in reducing gas.
Our moms are thrilled that the mattress adheres to NICE guidelines. These are to place the baby in a Moses basket or crib on its own without toys, blankets and pillows. They also say that the mattress is comfortable and firm for the baby and easy to find sheets for. It isn't as light as the other smaller bedside cribs however, so if you want something lighter and easier to move around with, consider one of the other options in our list.
